"Does everything pretty much by the book"

What? Bush has constantly changed the U.S. Constitution, sometimes this has led to the U.S. Supreme Court overturning his actions, other times not, but still Bush has been vetoed more by the Supreme Court than any President since FDR. At the very least, that means they are not doing everything by the book.

"Makes a good leader" 70% of the country do not approve of the job he is doing.

"Doesn't cheat on his wife" I've never hated anyone for cheating on their wife and this has nothing to do with being a good president. I know lots of really faithful husbands who would make horrible Presidents, and a lot of our outstanding Presidents were not the most faithful people (Thomas Jefferson).

I do not hate George Bush, never have and probably won't. However, to say that he is a good President is a vast mistake. He has led the country, amid huge international and domestic protests, into a very unwise war that most international relations experts advised against. His foreign policy is a horrible failure that hurts America and the world. Domestic policy is shady to say the least.

Actually he is not a leader. This country has not had a real leader since Reagan. Funny, he was neither a businessman nor a lawyer, go figure.

Bush is a LIAR!
Government made plans for a terrorist attack on both the world trade center and the pentagon in the 80's and WOW they both happened according to plan.
Read a newpaper or research Bush's public speaches since the beginning about our 'goals'. What he is saying today is not what our goal was years ago.
now he doesn't want to pull out because it would LOOK like we failed???
OK mister president, keep sending our soldiers to die so you won't be embarrassed!
IDIOT!!!
it does not matter when we pull out, now or never, they will continue to act as the thuggish, corrupt arab world always acts and always will act, so why should more Americans die?
it is time for AMERICANS to wake up, and vote out every single incumbant that is democrat and republican, lawyer and businessman.
Lawyers are trained to lie and twist the truth and businessmen are trained to screw everyone for a buck, and it has brought our country to ruins!

I don't hate him. If he still drank I wouldn't mind having a beer with him. I just don't think he is a good person to be a president, maybe a car salesman or middle management at a department store. He has some good qualities which I wish more politicians had, such as honesty, but I just get the feeling he pretty much lets other people take the helm because it's a little above his head. I also think he's a terrible public speaker.

I would like to know where have you lived since the year 2000--I want to go there--as far as cheating on his wife--no one will know for sure until he's out of office--doing things by the book, he rewrote it to suit his purpose--a good leader, not as the President of the United States. No one really hate GWB only the way he has misused his powers.

Well, he does stuff by the book if the book is "Mein Kampf." People hate Bush because, among many other things, he and his administration are arrogant and incompetent. They have ignored anyone who is not as right wing as Attila the Hun, including moderate Republicans, all Democrats, the rest of the world, the UN, and anyone else who doesn't fall in one of those categories. They impugn the patriotism of anyone who disagrees with them. They act dictatorially and adopt a Marxian "the end justifies the means" philosophy. They are in the pocket of big insurance, big drug companies, big credit card companies, big chemical companies, and big anything else. Why? Because those companies are major contributors to the Republican Party. So "you scratch my back, I scratch yours" (and the heck with the good of the nation). They have instituted tax cuts for one reason and one reason alone: it's a great way to buy votes. The heck with the deficit and the overall effect on the economy: the goal is to get elected and re-elected. Their administration is responsible for thousands of deaths, unnecessary deaths, both overseas and in this country. In this country, you ask? Yes, people died as a result of incompetence after Katrina, and because the Bush administration was unwilling to accept aid from other countries. How do you feel if someone rejects a gift you offer? Exactly. That's how many countries felt after offering us aid, only to have us turn it down. Didn't need it, obviously. We were doing so well on our own.
Yes, and Bush and company are the party of "family values." So which family value exactly is in play when Vice President Cheney (head of his own branch of government, just ask him) tells former Senator Daschle to "f*** himself". And which family value is operative when the former Surgeon General is prohibited from appearing at the Special Olympics "because it would benefit a political family" (the Kennedys). Well, let's just ignore the fact that disabled CHILDREN are involved in the Special Olympics.
I am ashamed of my country. I thought that Vietnam would be the last unneccesary war of my life. Boy was I naive.

I couldn't care less what he does to his wife. It's none of my bussiness and has nothing to do with anything that affects me.

Yes, he has done everything by the book, except that book was written by a number of special interest groups, whose interests are very different from people who are supposed to govern this country.

I don't know why you are even asking this question. If you do some rudimentary research, you'll see that this administration disastrously screwed up everything it ever touched. Not only that, many decisions were made under false pretences and will have negative cosequences for generations to come.

Frankly, this idiot caused far more damage to this country than 100 Osama Bin-Ladens ever could.

Your question clearly shows how aware you are of your surroundings.

You must be a person who watches Fox News every night and doesn't realize that people, yes real people die in the Iraq war.

You may also have never heard of a company called Diebold who Bush gave the contract to create those touch screen computerized voting machines that were tampered with in 2004 so Bush could win the 2004 election which he clearly lost. And thank goodness the supreme court stepped in and stopped the recount and declared the president. 2004 we didn't get to vote for the president. The supreme court handled it for us. Diebold was quoted promising him the elcetion in 2004 and they delivered. Oh they apoligized for saying that.

You may also not know what the Patriot Act is or that Bush has ties to Bin Laden and Halliburtan, two war machines that needed war to make ridiculous profits.

And you must not be aware of the 9/11 truth movement where people who were there and saw what happened were never included in the 9/11 commission report and in fact have tried suing Bush over the lies and total falsehoods of the report nothing short of the Warren Commission report. All because the official story is not the truth. 84% of Americans don't buy the official story. According to a poll by the New York Times &CBS News

And the term Habeas corpus must be some silly latin word to you that you don't have a clue of the meaning.

And you must not have heard any of that talk of weapons of mass destruction that didn't exists but was the premiss for us being in the war.

And you obviously don't own a car and have to fill up at the gas station paying $35.00-75.00 in fuel for one tank of gas that use to cost $15.00 so Bush can make huge profits off oil he and his daddy invested in.

And you must never have ever watched an interview with the man to see how stupid he is and how he doesn't know grammar of even basic English to be able to hold an intelligent conversation but he's running our counrty.
("is are kids learning")

And you must not have to work or have tried to find a job when unemployment has sky rockected and the middle class is becoming the destitute class and foreclosures are at a record high because the banking industry makes huge contributions to political parties so they can legally prey on Americans and force good hard working people to the street while your boy looks the other way.

And you must not go out of your house and see protestors to the war (77%) of Americans screaming at the president to get out of the war while he ignores us and says "I'm the decision maker." decision maker =dictator.

This is America we are the decision makers.

And you must not have any health issues or medical bills that have never been paid as the Insurance companies pay off politicians to allow them to deny claims and charge whatever they want even putting doctors out of business.

And finally you must not live in New Orleans and lost your home never to get it or anything back so the land could be used to move the rich in and make luxury homes for investors who make huge contributions to political parties.

I can't imagine being so clueless. You are a perfect Fascist American. You may love Bush... but he loves you more!

well for one reason this BS war Firstly, Bush went to war in Iraq ONLY to find weapons of mass destruction. They were not found. It took two years to admit they did not exist. Then Bush decided the USA was in Iraq to get rid of the evil tyrant, Saddam Hussein. Now Bush has decided the USA is in Iraq to destroy the terrorists before they can attack the USA. Meanwhile over 300 000 Iraqis have been killed, two million are displaced within Iraq, while another two million have fled in fear of their lives. He can't even keep one straight reason for the war.

To my way of thinking Bush and the USA now has millions of Iraqis who hate them. If somebody killed my mother, or child or sibling it might be understandable if I wanted revenge. The Bush Administration's foreign policy is simply scandalous, a massive catastrophe.

Finally, 9/11 is surprisingly similar to the Reichstag fire in Berlin.
