I has just returned from my community theater where the stage had been measured for a proscenium curtain (the curtain in front) and side "legs" which block audience view into the wings. I turned on the TV while I made breakfast. For the next few hours, I ran from the set to the computer in the basement to relay what was going on to friends in Israel to the phone to tell my wife and back to the TV. My wife was also trying to find out to where she should report to provide help. She is a nurse. I kept telling her that there would be no wounded. Unfortunately, I was proven right. I do not think that the breakfast was ever eaten.

Yes, I was at work that morning. The service staff ran into the kitchen to tell the chefs what happened. We all went out to the bar and watched the news. All I could think of was where was everyone in my family at that moment. That was the only time I can remember we closed the restaurant early and were sent home to be with our families. We spent the next week or so glued to the news. What a horrible day.

Of course I do, as does everyone who was alive when President Kennedy was assassinated. On 9-11 I was at work at a veterinarian assisting during a surgery. I caught the phone when it rang and it was a client checking on her dog and then she mentioned that she had just heard a plane had hit the twin towers in NY. Hanging up the vet and I talked about it, really didn't believe her but decided to get the TV out and check. The rest is history. I have tears right now just writing about it.

I was home getting ready for work. I had just stepped out of the shower and turned the news on. The first plane had just the towers. I found that I could not move off my sofa. Then I saw the second plane hit and all I could do was gasp. before I knew it I was crying uncontrollably. I could not believe that all of this was happening. I called in from work and stayed home glued to the TV all day and most of the night.

I was already at work. My sister worked in a different department but came and told me a plane crashed into one of the towers. We thought it was an accident. Then we heard another crashed, then we heard about the pentagon. It seemed like maybe a plane might crash into us. I was afraid it might happen all day long. Our CEO gathered us all together and we held hands and prayed. Then I went home and didn't know what to do. I wanted to dismiss my daughter from school even though we live in an out of the way rural community. I knew it made no sense, but was afraid anyways.

I was at my dad's, watching my step sisters, I had just got there @ 8:00am, I had my baby with me, (5 months old). A short while later, my bf at the time, called me, freaking out about the news, so I turned it on, and didn't leave the t.v. until 10:00 that night. I was so scared because my dad lives by some power plants. I still remember it exactly to this day.

I was in the 6th grade in school. No one told us what happened we went on wiht the day as normal. As I was walking home a women told her daughter "The World Trade Center is gone" I didnt know what that was so I didnt pay attention. When I got home my mom was there which was weird watching the news. She told me, but I didnt get it. So I went and had a snack. I was too young to understand.
