She is right. Nothing that I can remember in Lawndale or Hawthorne. Both true garden spots in the L.A. Area. Pinks is an old favorite and here I am sitting in Vietnam and you made me hungry as well. I don't even have a way to get there without spending a couple of grand.
Pinks is rated on many of the Hot Dog lists as one of the top 5 Hot dog stands in the World. It might be worth the trip to L.A. and who knows, You might see some Celebs.

You could always try the Weinersnitzle. Or-if Spires is still on Redondo Beach Blvd-they serve good hot dogs. You could aslo try going to Alpine Village. They serve really good German food. They may not call them hot dogs, but they'll get the idea. That's a fun place to go at any time.
