It's one of the great ironies of human behaviour. Hold live events to help save the planet and use more electricity in one night than most people use in a year. Add to that the "emissions" from all the performers who travelled there, many in planes - and the audience, probably thousands in cars - and it really makes you think what exactly are they trying to draw our attention to....that the best way to stop damaging the planet is to hold events which....erm....damage the planet?

Maybe all the rubbish left behind was biodegradable.

If they had not left it there they would have left it someplace else so the net difference is zero. More important is all the rest of the people who were NOT there, and the much bigger mountain of rubbish THEY left.

The environment is basically screwed no matter how you look at it, in spite of Al Gore, who now wants to be a rock concert promoter.
