does anyone know if there is reborn classes in england? thanks for your help

i'm talking about life like dolls... i wanna start making my own, but i think classes would be more benificial than dvd's..

Advanced Simply Reborn Live: 10 hour course

Friday 23rd November 2007, 9am - 5pm
& Saturday 24th November 2007, 9am – 12pm

This is a live version of the popular online Reborn Course, Simply Reborn.

The class is an advanced class following on from the Simply Reborn Live beginner’s class, or the Simply Reborn Live Demonstration! It will also be beneficial to anyone who is confident with painting with Genesis paints.

This is an intensive course in which you will learn how to apply the natural 3D skin technique in a multitude of textured layers to achieve the maximum depth and realism. You will also be shown the basics of rooting and achieving areas such as the crown and getting the hair to lie in a natural direction. Weighting and assembling the doll is also included.

The aim of the class is to further the techniques already learned and to come away with a fully painted, perfectly weighted, assembled baby.

Everything will be supplied for use on the day and each student will take home a fully assembled baby.

If you are NOT an experienced reborner or have not attended Simply Reborn Live or the demonstration session then this may not be the class for you. If you are starting out it would be beneficial to attenf the demonstration, after which you will be offered a guaranteed place at the next Advanced Simply Reborn Live.

Price for the class is £195 per student. There are 20 places available.



Simply Reborn Live Demonstration

Saturday 24th November 2007, 1.30pm – 5.30pm

This demonstration will form the basis of a live version of the popular online Reborn Course Simply Reborn.
Over the course if this four hour demonstration you will be shown all the techniques of producing a reborn baby using the natural 3D skin technique which has been developed by the live tutors from Simply Reborn.
It will involve being shown how to use Genesis paint in such a way that only the pigment is left within the viny and no paint is visable on the vinyl surface, giving a very translucent and natural look to the skin.
The demonstration will also show how to use matt varnish to achieve a matt finish and how to achieve the smaller details in veining, capillaries, baby scratches and milla. You will also see a demonstration of the different rooting techniques used for hand, micro and ultra rooting.
The demonstration will cover everything taught at Simply Reborn Live, the only difference is that it it a demonstration and not a class. Students will be watching and taking notes rather than working on their own doll.
The aim of the demonstration is an introduction to Simply Reborn Live (advanced) and at the end of the demonstration you will be able to sign up for the next Simply Reborn Live advanced class. You will be guaranteed a place if you book on the day.
This demonstration is also ideal if you are interested in reborning and would like to see how it is dome before you start, or even for advanced reborners who simply want to watch and learn new techniques to improve on their own work!

Students will make notes on the demonstration and will be given the option to purchase the tools and paints used at the end of the demonstration.

Price for the demonstration is £30 and there will be 20 places available.

I don't know of any classes, even here in the U.S. It's pretty competitive. Most people just get all the information they can on the internet and then jump right in.

I am not sure. I can understand why you would want to start making them though as some of them are so life-like. If not then maybe you could consider starting your own classes up. EBay seems to sell loads of them.

i found these great sites that may help. i found i learned alot watching them. i collect dolls and give them a good cleaning, i want to rebirth some of them, now i know how. Goodluck finding classes.

Is it another way of putting the Christian idea of being born again???? I have never heard of that term in any context, so just guessing!
