I heard that they are made with parts manufactured all over the world and other foreign cars are made here in America.

it does help to buy American,but yes you are right some of the parts used in making them are made over seas,but they are still assembled in America,but there was a day when all the parts and the cars were built here,so i guess it helps keep some American jobs here,good luck hope this helps.

But at least the company that owns them is based in the USA. The final end place of the money is here not Japan. Look at it this way as well Japan has kept its money value down for years so when the money an American pays for there product is converted to Yen they make more money. Now if they really wanted to they could lower the price and still make a profit but they don't. Also Gm and Ford is having to deal with the retired American workers cost for there health care and such. The last report I saw said the cost per unit sold is like $2000 for the American companies wile the Japanese cost is less than 200.

Chevy, Ford, and Dodge all are foreign made. If you want a vehicle made in the US you will have to buy a Toyota. They have a manufacturing plant in Texas and are the only automakers that have US made vehicles.

Absolutely! The foreign cars aren't made in the USA therefore USA jobs are going to be eliminated because fewer cars will be sold.Buy American folks!

Chevy and Ford are using a higher percentage of American parts but does it really matter anymore? They're employing higher paid union labor and you get cheaper parts so they can compete. I think buy American is obsolete at this time.

most GM vehicles are assembled in mexico. but the parts are from the US and over seas. but what GM product are you asking about? because GM owns many foriegn manufacturs. its knda funny because a few jap cars are now made and assembled in the US. such as toyota and subabru. who would have gueesed?

yes, there are a lot of small parts producers going bankrupt now because of overseas parts. Buy AMERICAN
