Essentially, you're saying that 130% of last year's attendance is 1430. Therefore
1.3 * x = 1430
x = 1100

Last year's attendance was 1100. 35% less than this is:
0.65 * 1100 = 715

So, 715 people attended this year.

Let the attendence last year was=xper
so 130x=1430
so x=1430/130=11per
so Attendence last yr=1100
Now attendence fell by 35 per
so No of students now=1100*65/100
=715 ans
