my 18th birthday

my mom was a drunk, kicked me out on the streets, I found a place to rent (my friend's parents let me rent a bedroom).

A few of my friends decided to throw me a surprise party, and my drunken mother showed up stumbling and bumbling and making a mess. I was having awful tooth aches, and had to have my two lower wisdom teeth taken out the next day. Yippee....

I'll tell you about my sister's worst birthday. Her best friend thought let's have a surprise party for her, so we invited a lot of people. It turned out that her birthday was in the same day a play was taking place in school so no one showed up except her best friend. As my sister walked into the living room, we jumped out from behind the sofa: "SURPRISE"
I mean how surprised is she going to be finding her brother and sister at home?

Geese after reading all the birthday horror stories makes me glad I was born in December and never really had a birthday.

The one that I had in 1990, I was in Puerto Rico for vacations and my ex-fiance called me to tell me that she's lost her 1 month pregnancy. That's had been the worst birthday ever.

My 18th birthday. My ex bf was a jerk and didn't want to hang out with me. When I finally got him to hang out with me, he left me in his living room with his parents and he went upstairs to clean his fish tank. He also did not get me a card or a present. It was basically like my birthday didn't exist to him and he acted mad that I wanted to hang out. We'd been dating for like 6 months, so it's not like we just met. He was the worst boyfriend I've ever had.

When I turned 25 . . . my marriage was in shambles (it lasted another year). My husband went to the bar after work, and never came home to spend my birthday with me. I made dinner for the kids (age 1 and 5), played with them for a few hours, put them to bed and watched a movie--by myself.

My Dad showed up late, drunk, took over the party, ran all the guests out, and passed out on the floor. I was teen or eleven, it was the last party I ever had, and I want nothing to do with another.

Last year, my 21st. I had my wisdom teeth removed the day before and was on Vicodin so I couldn't drink alcohol or talk and my mom made me buy my own cake (which I couldn't even eat) because my house is closer to the grocery store! And she didn't even pay me back!

when i was 18 or so, my parents gave me a AAA subscription (the auto thing) and told me they dropped me from their insurance and told me to get my own.....and I also had strep throat on my 21st and couldn't go out....and when I was younger it seemed to really snow ALOT in the winter..and since I'm a December baby, my parties always seemed to get cancelled because no one could drive...or just the plain fact that I would ALWAYS get a combo birthday - Christmas gift from EVERYONE !!!!
