I am in general confused about the usage of 'lot' - ' a lot','lot','a lots','lots'. Which of the sentence is correct?:
- These days you have lot of opportunities in IT sector.
- These days you have a lot of opportunities in IT sector.
- These days you have lots of opportunities in IT sector.
- These days you have a lots of opportunities in IT sector.

You can use either "a lot" or "lots". Both are correct, so the 2nd and 3rd sentences are correct.

I would prefer to see:

Today, there are many opportunities in the IT sector.

Sorry, I don't like the terms "these days" or "a lot" or "lots."

Lot is not grammatically correct in any of those sentences. It should be "many" instead.

I think it is either "a lot" or "lots". Both can be confusing.
