Have you ever noticed that when you have a cheap fish and an expensive fish in the same tank, the cheap one is always the one the eats the other fish? That is damn frustrating.

Seems to always happen that way. The pricier fish are usually more delicate as well and often die of disease first too.

cheap fish are stronger because there are lots of them. expensive ones tend to be weaker and smaller so they usually get eaten if their in a tank with bigger fish that are aggressive.

YES!! This always happens, and not just in aquariums - it happens in ponds, too. Cute fish die, ugly fish live forever..... And, you'd better not get to "like" any one fish "too" much, or you will find you have marked it for an early grave with your affection....

I know! That's why you have to do all your research on what's compatible and what's not before shelling out money on them.
