very, very close just a couple steps away, just calculate the time value of the circumference rate relative to earth position to determine the time drag/for eastward motion and the time-adjustment for the westward path

48 (47.74 to be more precise)

The circumference of a circle of radius 10 miles is 2 x pi x 10 = 62.83 miles.a smidgeon more than 62.5 miles (one quarter of distance flown in 1 hour = 250 miles).

Thus it describes almost 4 circles in 1 hour and almost 48 in 12 as it flies a total of 3,000 miles.

Circling the world to me means going along a great circle.
Circumference of a great circle is approximately 8000pi = 25000 miles approximately.
At 250mph he would travel only 3000 miles which is 3000/25000 = 3/25 of the way around the world.

Once circle takes 2pi*10/250 hr.
Number of circles in 12hr. = 12 * 250 / 2pi*10
= 150 / pi
= 47.75.

C=pi x d, = 3.14(20), = 62.8 miles around one circle..
In 12 hrs it travels 12x250=3000miles.
3000/62.8=47.77 times
