Maria you are so wrong. Do you have any children of your own on which to base your answer and panic this poor mom? Children can be born with a tooth...they can also take much longer to get them.

Yes, it's normal to be 13 months and not have teeth yet. My daughter didn't get her first until after her first birthday, while my son had his first at 4 months. My bfriend's daughter's first was at 15 months.

Every child is different. Don't worry. The teeth will come when they're ready.

Yes. Every baby is different. My oldest didn't get teeth until about 14 months or so. My youngest had them start coming in at 4 months. Typically... the later they come in, the straighter and better they are. Here are my examples: my oldest is now 13 and looks like she has already had braces. They are perfect. My youngest... poor baby. She is now 7 and we have to have teeth pulled just for a new one to come in. She will have a mouth full of braces in a few years. Don't sweat it! It's a good thing. ;o)

Each child develops at it's own rate....usually by now there are 4 or so minimally, but maybe your child is slower in that department....was the baby a preemie? small? had some early problems? My 3 sons were very healthy 8 1/2 lbs. to 10 lbs even and had teeth ranging from 15 to 8 at one year.....ask your doctor to be sure....and enjoy the little one!!! They grow so fast...mine are 18,22, and 25 now!!!!!

Ask your pediatrician, but I've heard of this before. They come at their own time. The longer they wait to get teeth, the stronger they are. Try rubbing their gums with an infant tooth paste every day and make sure they get calcium and are not sucking their thumbs and are weaning from the bottle to a sippy cup.

Your baby is fine!! The thing you have to remember, not just with teeth but with everything is all babies are different.. there are general devlopmental milestone guidelines but they leave alot of room for contrast.

Generally boys take longer to get teeth than girls. Mine didn't get his first until 10 months. Your little one is perfectly normal in that department, no need to worry..it will happen!

If the baby was pre mature, it will be behind quite abit, but it depends on how the baby is grownig, all babies are different. It might not get teeth until it is 2! It will still learn how to talk, but not as well, it will catch up!

It is normal- our son was 15 months old when he got his first tooth. The benefit. The teeth are healthier, and teething is much easier on them- at least in our case.

Our daughter was 5 months old when she got her first two teeth and it's been a lot harder!

My sister was around that age when she finally got teeth. Take your kiddo to the dentist and ask the dentist about it. THey're probably up there! Just late.
