He says he wants to get married out of state but I don't. My family can't afford to travel. I just don't seem to get excited about anything that has to do with weddings. Even commercials and shows about weddings make me nausous. Lately he seems to be lossing his temper and gets mad at me over nothing. Like this morning, I borrowed his laptop to surf the internet. When he opened it up again the desktop picture was a different size. He accused me of doing something to change it even when I told him I didn't. I am still mad but he acts like nothing is wrong. That is another thing. Every time we have an arguement, I still am upset but he acts like we didn't even disagree. Help!! What should I do???

maybe it's because you feel that getting married to this guy might not be all of what it should be...he sounds awfully controlling...and honey, one thing you don't want or need is a controlling spouse...it almost always ends in disaster....Call it off and move on before you regret it....

Sounds like he wants to isolate you with the out of state marriage thing. Don't do it. He also sounds abusive, controlling and dominating. What is he hiding on the laptop?? Why would he get so upset?? Not a good thing. Re-think your relationship now, before you go too far and can't see any way out.

Opposites do not always attract, believe me.

Engaged for seven years, and still no plans??!?!?!?

I'd say it's put up or shut up time. Either you start making plans, definite ones. Or you need to consider moving on. If you were both in school, or had agreed to wait, that would be different. But you stated that there's always an excuse not to plan. And weddings make you ill.

That's a bad sign, time to evaluate this relationship and consider moving on with your life.

Well maybe the wedding isn't a very good idea. And if you are POSITIVE that it is, then maybe you have have a small wedding. Either a wedding with only you and your fiance. Or a wedding with only the close family members. Maybe a big wedding isn't the best thing. And about the whole fight, I think you should talk it through with him.

Good Luck

From what I have just read, I don't believe you should marry this man. But, give it some real thought. Can you talk to him about this or is it too much? It is not good to be left hanging after an argument. The decision is yours.
