peter is the guy anne had a crush on :)
just make sure you're loud and clear...and look at the back wall of the auditorium, not at anyone in particular, and also make SURE you make gestures and put some body language into it
I'm sure you'll do fine! good luck!

In order to get the real feel of your character, you really need to read the book/play/whatever you can find on it. But Peter's the guy that Anne falls in love with (I played Anne in a production once). Also, reading the book can give you insight to what emotions you need to bring out in your character. Other than that, I can't give you a whole bunch of tips, because you have to channel the character in your own way :)

Read as much of the book as possible, or see the documentary/movie on the book. The more you are in touch with the nuances of the story, the more you can draw on, and portray the feeling from the story.
Is this a cold monogue from a script? If so, the mor yo know the better.
If you already have the script, and you will be able to read from it, mark little color signals, to remind you of different places to give a little something extra in your presentation.
Good luck.

Hi Lolly, you say that your scared.Well good news, your half way to getting the role.Anne Frank would have have been scared when she was up in the attic, So if your scared on the day,let the fear show and use it ,so long as it's controlled, the director will think it's you acting scared.Chuckers

First, practice every day in front of the mirror, your real friends, to the dog, cat, and anyone who will listen.
Second, pick out one kind face among the people who will be listening and focus on that one person, then say your monologue, to that person during the audition.
Dress for the part in costume, like you already have the part.
AND, Never, Never, look at the camera.

don't get nervous. Peter is Anne Frank's unofficial boyfriend when she's in hiding.
