If you are on the pill you'd be safer though that's not 100%. (97% actually)
If you are not pregnant...and it can happen while you are having your period...you need to learn how to be responsible. I've been with my partner for 10 years. We do it bare once a month because we both love it but you need to know your cycle before you play like that. I know my cycle and we have a window of a week each month but my cut off day is crucial and then we go back to condoms.
Do you know what it feels like when you ovulate? Do you know what ovulation is? Do you even know how long sperm live inside your body? It doesn't seem like you know anything about your reproductive system and you'd better learn before you get caught.
Oh and you shouldn't be having sex if you aren't prepaired to get pregnant. See that's what sex is for reproduction and that is the attitude you should have everytime you take off your clothes. I consider it every time and I am prepaired for it. Then again I am a grown up and you seem pretty immature.(no offence)
I sure hope he is clean. I sure hope you are! Have you two been tested for STDs? You should because all it takes is one skank to ruin your whole life!

don't listen to the people saying it is impossible to get pregnant on your period..it is unlikely but possible...some women are reaction ovalators (sp) and can release an egg at anytime not just during certian times of the month..also you have 2 overies and one might release an egg during your period

Well honestly, the time you could most likely get pregnant is when you're on your period. If you're on birth control, it's less chance but if you had no protection whatsoever, watch for signs.

You cannot get pregnant during your period. You have to wait until ovulation occurs - usually about 14 days after your period begins (though it varies by a few days from woman to woman). If you are trying to get pregnant, buying a basal thermometer will help you figure out your ovulation schedule. Your waking temperature during ovulation is slightly higher than it is during the rest of the month. The thermometer will have instructions when you buy it. You cannot do this tracking with a regular thermometer because the change in temperature is very slight so you need the basal one.

It's highly unlikely. Typically women ovulate mid cycle..about 2 weeks after the fist day of your period.

There is a slight chance you can get pregnant while on your period, however its not very likely. There is a chance a woman can get pregnant anytime she has sex regardless of when in her cycle it occurs.

I have always been told that it's almost impossible because an egg has to be released in order to be fertilized. When you have your period everything from an egg not being fertilized is being flushed away. I believe it would be a safe time for you.

It's not likely, but it's possible. You should get on emergency contraception immediately, and after that use regular birth control.
