Yeah, I'd check the connection for the front earphone jack as well. The front jack should be hooked up to your mainboard. If your mainboard was changed at any time, this could have been overlooked. You'll need to squint a bit to find the correct headers on the board for the connection. The connection for the audio should be near the other front panel headers on your board ~ good luck.

Double check and make sure it is a headphone port and not a mic port. I dont think many motherboards do 2 headphone jacks?

It might not be connected to the audio card (motherboard) inside of the computer.

did you install your own sound card?if so thats why .If you didnt it might be unplugged from the inside of your computer
