There's only one race, it's called the "human race." Your children will be part of it. On the other hand, I'm not sure I'd want a marriage with a Klingon.

A majority of people out there still have a problem with interracial marriage. That being said lets talk about marriage and having kids as two separate issues.
If you decide to date and get married try to find a place that is open and accepting, an urban environment is generally more socially advanced than rural areas. Your lives will be much easier though still not as easy as finding a mate of your own ethnicity.
You and your love are grown adults and you can decide if you are willing to stand up to the slings and arrows of the majority. And if you do then who is to stop you? You know what is ahead.
Now, about children. Knowing that mixed race children have a really rough time, knowing that they are often rejected by both races (sometimes even by their extended family!), knowing that society in general is not as forward thinking as you...do you think you have the right to make that decision for those children?
So, its one thing if you and your love want to be on the front line of our societal struggles, and I applaud your courage, but its an entirely different set of rules when it comes to dragging kids into it with you.
Good luck to you.

Interracial dating/marriage is not a big deal to me because it is becoming more common in big cities. If they love each other, respect their difference, and have a connection with each other than why should race matter. Besides, we are all mix with something and apart of the human race. I think biracial children are beautiful and a blessing just like any other child. A man is a man and a woman is a woman regardless of race.

I think there is way too much racism in America, we are supposed to be the 'melting pot' of cultures, yet we still pit races against each other. Interracial marraige is no different than marraige between two people of the same race. If there is love, there is love.

Interracial marriage and children may be very beautiful from the loving couple's point of view, from the personal individual dream level.
Racists may not like it.
Conformists may not like it, they may feel embarrassed about it, and even suggest abortion when a child is within perspective.
But I also want to tell you this:
I have seen an illustration in a magazine from a large religious sect that wants to convert the whole World. The picture was of people in a green and flowery lanscape. Families. Blond husband and blond wife with blond children, boy and girl. Black husband and black wife with black children, boy and girl. Chinese-looking husband and chinese-looking wife with chinese children. ...
In the picture were also animals, lion and lamb peacefully side by side.
Nice houses in the background, but no roads and no bridge over watercourse.
What a metaphorical vision! No black husband with white wife. No bridge. No road. So seems most of the ideal World to be nowadays yet.

I have no problem with that. You should love someone because of who they are, not focusing on skin color. Every race is beautiful in their own way. interracial marriage shows how strong one's love is towards the other, since today's society is sometimes focused on which race is better. The truth is that every race is strong and if we all unite peacefully, no force can break us down.

You can't help who you fall in love with. The only problem that I see with it is the children of interracial couples. They are sometimes not accepted by either race.

There is no problem with interracial marriage or children. You can't help who you fall in love with. I think if you're truly happy then it's not a problem. Plus multiracial babies are THE cutest.

I think its beautiful, love is beautiful. If anyone thinks they have the upper hand because of their race they are only fooling themselves. Apparently the mixing creates not only drop dead gorgeous children but apparently highly intelligent. I think its wonderful. My nephews are mixed and they do extremely well in life, and they have not witnessed any prejudism in life at all. I think what is truly ugly is racism white racism black racism and any other racism.
