The eggs are layed on a leaf that we have put in the tank for them to lay them on. But one of them lay eggs like every week and the silver one eats them. I cant tell them two apart.. the male or the female. Now both of them are eating them. Why? and why are some white?

The white eggs are bad and will never hatch, they should be eating those to remove them from the batch. Some adults go over board at this point and continue eating good eggs. The only thing you can do really is to remove the eggs from the parents and place them in a separate tank.

If you do this you need to place an air stone near enough to the eggs to keep a gentle water flow across the eggs and remove and white eggs yourself to prevent fungus from killing all of the eggs. It is best to use a pan of some sort to move the leaf with the eggs so that the entire leaf and the eggs can stay underwater at all times and not be exposed to air.
