Maybe your friend feels that they are the cause of you feeling bad or hurt so he goes on the defense. I know people like that and it is frustrating because you are the one hurt but end up trying to make your friend feel better. Just try to express yourself in a away that your friend won’t feel like it’s their fault.

Ok....... so I take it this is a friendship between a guy and a girl. First of all, why are you even saying things to hurt each other in the first place if you all are friends????
Secondly, girls are just more emotional than guys.

Don't be over sensitive. Just do what you think is right. Don't mind all the things your friends are doing or saying. Just be yourself. If your friends are really friends they will accept what you are.

Do things on purpose just for no reason, see how he responses, then start discussing them after You tell him You did it on purpose.Always works.
