A lot of papers have on line archives where you can look up things like this. Some are free, some aren't. You could also go to the local library to check out their archives.

Sometimes you can go on line and see if you can get into whatever paper's archives. Otherwise, try your local library and ask for help.

Go to the morgue! No, no not the kind where they keep the dead people but, the newspaper morgue! A morgue, or library is a file where the newspaper keeps back issues, cuttings an information.
