Take a look at that map, and see where being gay is considered punishable. I wonder if the people on here who are constantly bashing gay people are from those countries, or just want to be on par with them.
Also the people who make claims like "if gay marriage is legal, then why can't I marry my dog!?" Since when does a dog have a legal standing, and how exactly is a dog able to sign a marriage certificate? Comparing gay people to animals? Now THAT takes a sick person.

Sad isn't it? The last great prejudice of the world. It took time for women being allowed to vote in come countries, and for blacks to own property, It will take time with gay acceptance as well.

Tell you what. I think "marriage" should be abolished all together. There should only be "civil unions."
edit: kacie, obviously you've never been married. Otherwise you wouldn't have compared marriage to the "right to be happy for the rest of our lives". LOL.
It's actually very unnatural for two people people to spend their entire lives together. Why? Because people change. The person you "married" 15 years ago is not the person you are married to today.

You'll notice that most of those countries are in the middle east. Everyone there is highly religious and mostly Muslim so that might be the reason. It's stupid really.

i totally agree with you. we should be able to get married jsut like everyone else. we have the same right to love as straights. we have the same right to be happy for the rest of our lives. its not fair that we have to be worried about what people are gonna say if i hold my gf's hand in public.

And it also begs the question, if homosexuality is a choice, and this choosing homosexual lives in a country such as Saudi Arabia where the penalty is DEATH - why on earth would someone CHOOSE to be homosexual?

I have no problem with two men getting married ya it would be sad because they are probably adorable, but it is a sin for two women to get married (oy Ted Williams would roll over in his freezer if he saw that).

seems all the issues with gay and lesbians is cuz of the sickness of it. am not saying all r like this but, all i have met r mentally sick or challenged and health problems from drugs.
it all goes hand in hand.
i really don't think ppl should love themsevles...thats sick and selfish!!!
