its 1 pint for 6 gallons giving a 50-1 mix ratio. There should be a scale on the oil container to give you the amount for 5 gallons. You want a 50-1 mix.

Mercury many years ago sold a 50:1 mix in a can for a 5 gallon tank, it was 12 ounces of 40 W oil, I have some of the old cans still intact, say SAE 40 on the can. When tanks went to a six gallon they eventually made a can that was 16 ounces.
So, you can buy, 2 Stroke oil and use the Guide on the Bottle for a 50:1 mix.

You would have to find out what the manufacturer recommends for the ratio and type of oil---some are 32:1, some are 40:1 and some are 50:1 ---if in doubt, mix it at 20:1 ratio and you may have to change the spark plug sooner from getting oil fouled. Try calling a Mercury dealer or repair shop in your area.

Everyone is going to give the same answer for this one and not help you much at all. Use one of these or something just like it from a another manufacture. I use this one and it works great for a 2004 Merc 9.9 hp 2 stroke.
Have a good one.

I would follow what the manufacturer recommends. You can get this information from any boat mechanic shop. Or go the Mercury website and contact them to ask. I posted a link below to help you out.
