In my opinion, I think becoming a MD/PHD profession or a doctor/researcher. I just became a sophomore in college and I have been doing research for about a half year with an oncologist. I've always been interested in the study of cancer and how it functions within the body. If you look at previous answers to questions I have made, you will see a protein called TOPORS I study the protein TOPORS in cancer cells.
Back to your question, becoming a MD/PHD will be more rewarding. While you are helping people with illnesses and other diseases, you are also doing research. When you do research, you get this awesome natural high when you try to find something new from the unknown. Also, healing a person also gives you this natural high.
Being a lawyer if redundant and boring, in my opinion. You are not finding anything new and you are just helping, mostly criminals, find freedom. The job is only for money and nothing more. You are arguing a case for a person and hoping the person wins. But in science, you need to argue your case to support your research or new medical treatment. Or you may need to fight for your patient.
Again, this is just my opinion. I am doing what I love to do. I enjoy doing research and eventually, after medical school and residence, I will become a doctor. I love helping others. The main point from my answer is to do what you will enjoy in your future years.
good luck.

This is the bio category...I'm just guessing most ppl. will answer that medicine is better. This wouldn't be empirical unless also asked under some kind of pre-law category.
That being said, I wanna be a doctor. It really depends what YOU want out of your life. Do you want to spend half your life studying, only to gain a teacher's salary at the end of it all in order to STUDY SOME MORE and THEN when you're like in your MID THIRTIES start getting paid a decent amount? It's a big jump in salary, but trust me, if you're just in it for the money, take the LSAT, go to law school for 3 yrs and if you're any good at arguing, you can make $$$.
Just make sure not to lose yourself and your ethics in the process. Good luck!!

Both are very respectable, well paid jobs, though Doctors commands the greatest respect, because they don't have to be 'dishonest' as a lawyer has to be sometimes (having to defend someone they know is guilty for example).
So, if dishonesty disturbs you, become a Doctor.

Whichever is not a job to the person doing it. If you think you would wake up every morning knowing you will enjoy every minute of your life as a doctor or lawyer, and will never regret your choice, that's the job for you.

I would say you get more money by being a lawer, but being a doctor you could help heal people and make them better, so feel good from that. I think being a doctor would be better from the natural highs you would get from that job

Hello Walu, depends what you want out of a career. If you want to earn pots and pots of money then become a lawyer, but Drs dont do too badly either.

Greetings:
Well, I think it depends on what you like to do... If you like Science and doing Detective work (i.e. searching stuff out) then you may like being a Doctor. If you like Arguing and doing Detective work (i.e. searching stuff out) then you may want to be a Lawyer. Search your heart, find what appeals to you most, talk to people who are lawyers or doctors and Ask them what they like most about their jobs...and then making a decision about your career path may not be as hard as you think...
Good luck,

These days you can do both if you want to. There are doctors who studied law or vice versa and work in insurance companies and take up mal practice cases for health institutions or individuals.
