Whats the 80's movie, where the models get scanned to be actresses - then get killed?

Something like "body double"? They get full body scans, then digitized. Doing a paper on avatars and want it as early background.

That movie is LOOKER, from 1981, IIRC. It was written and directed by Michael Crichton (WESTWORLD, JURASSIC PARK) and starred Albert Finney, Susan Dey, James Coburn and Leigh Taylor-Young.
