I have been dealing with constipation for a really long time (about a year and a half), and I've tried everything to make it go away (including lexatives), but nothing has worked. The stool itself isn't rock hard, but the main problem is that it takes a lot of straining for it to come out. In addition, I sometimes experience pain after ejaculation, and also I have noticed that some times after I urinate I have a feeling like I'm not completely empty, so I have to urinate again after a couple of hours. This has been going on for a long time as well. So I was wondering, if theres a link between these two. Keep in mind that I'm only 21 years old.

I suppose it could, if it's like soccer ball size.

Yes, it could, but the ejaculation and urination issues make me think it is probably your prostate more so than the constipation. I've got prostatitis (sp), and I know what you're going through. You should definitely see a doctor. As for your age, I've had it since I was 19 ( 20 now), so while it is more common in middle-aged and older men, younger people can still have it. As for what you can do about it now until you see a doctor, I'd recommend hot baths and a supplement called Quercetin. my doctor is into a lot of alternative medicine, and he recommended Quercetin to me, and it helps a lot. You should be able to get it at any Health Food store or Vitamin shop.

Some people would recommend draining the prostate by stimulating it ( rubbing it with your finger). Not only is it a bit gross, whatever is in your prostate that is causing the irritation may leak into your urethra, causing it to be irritated ( and possible leading to infection).

I hope that helps, and please, go see a doctor.

Jack, you have two entirely different problems. The urination problem is most likely an enlarged prostate but to be certain you need to see a Urologist. For the constipation I'd suggest you eat more vegetables, e.g. brussel sprouts, cauliflower, beans, etc. and perhaps some stool softeners. At 21 years of age I wouldn't worry too much about having prostate cancer but have it checked out by a urologist. (not just any doc)

Please go to a urologist and get checked. Do this ASAP!!! Drink lots of water and try to eat green salads to help your constipation. The urologist can find out if you have any kidney stones, and/or any type of blockage. Your 21 and you need to take care of yourself. My father who is 79 yrs old would NOT go to a doctor for years. He had an enlarged prostate, plus a hernia and wouldn't do anything about it until now. Now he's dealing with the fact that he has cancer of the prostate. He's doing well and is on medication for it. But he recently had surgery to reduce the enlarged prostate. Surgery went well thank God. But the doctor said if he would've went to the doctor sooner it would have been dealt with less complications. So from the bottom of my heart please go and get checked so that you can find out why you are having this problem. You have a lot more to learn and to experience so please do this. When you do please post how your doing. Just want you to feel better :-)! And for you and any other man out there get your prostate checked and also if you feel any lumps on your chests please let your doctor know. Men also get breast cancer. So please take care of yourselves.

at 21, I bet you don't drink nearly enough water, nor do you eat enough high fiber food. Those are the causes of constipation, that and lack of adequate physical activity. Nothing whatever to do with the prostate.
The urination issue is a bit more difficult to diagnose...suggest you may want to see a doc about that.

You are only 21!?! This is not good at all. Go to the Drs. immediately. Not to insult you, but these symptoms would be more normal in men in their late 50s to death, not people in their early 20s. I would get this checked out, I hope you don't have prostate cancer.

You need a stool softener, and lots of water to drink.
Daily at night, so you can have a movement in the morning.

I would highly recommend you go see a specialist,
A urologist . You are too young to have these problems!!!!!!!!
Have the whole system looked at...the WHOLE package, and write down the question and problems before you go and hand them to the nurse the minute you turn in your paperwork. That way you can "Weasel out" on any of the scary stuff, when you in the room with the rubber gloves.

Just do it.
Its not way to live your life.

Premature ejaculation is caused by specific things that you do before and during sex. Most of the time without even realizing it. Read here https://tr.im/a6rnQ

Premature ejaculation is not some gene you're born with, the result of your penis size or a part of your personality that you can never change.
