I don't like Tampax either. I remember in the early 90s when "Save the Earth" was the big social trend (it died down for awhile and came back in the past couple of years), Tampax was big on advertising that they were better because they used flushable, biodegradable applicaters, unlke the other brands. Well, apparently the other brands' plastic was good as Tampax started to make tampons with plastic applicators. Now, I'm seeing ads for Tampax cardboard again, like they're supposed to be great.
Playtex has a brand with a godo flushable applicator, but I don't know what it's called. Basically, I use whatever I can get the cheapest and from whatever free samples I've gotten.
This week Rite Aid is offering o.b. tampons, Stayfree pads, and Playtex Sport tampons free after rebate. If you're unfamilar with the process, you go to Rite Aid, buy the product(s), and either mail in the receipt and rebate form, or go on-line and do it. Being that I'm six months pregnant, I don't need this stuff any time soon. However, when I was doing some packing last week (we're moving in a month), I discovered that I was a bit low on tampons so I'll stock up. I'd rather get them free and move them then have to pay for them later when I need them.
