Having been a parent of teenagers, I think your mom already has a good hunch. She can read it in your smile, your voice, your dress. Just say, "Listen, Mom, I want to tell you about this REALLY GREAT guy......" Then proceed to tell her how you met him, and a little about him. Then say something like, "He's coming over tomorrow. I can't wait for you to meet him. But he's a little nervous and a little shy about meeting you, so go easy on him, pleeeeese." She is probably dying to hear about him, but doesn't want to pry and is waiting for you to tell her. And you just remember, she was 16 yr old, once, and had to tell her mom. So she will remember.

um, maybe don't tell her just as you're heading out the door tomorrow!! that won't go down well.

Why can't you bring yourself to tell your mum? Do you not think he will get on with her? are you worried that she will disapprove of you having a relationship anyway? whatever, if this relationship is going anywhere, you'll need to tell her at some point. it must be difficult hiding it from her! Just sit down with her and sound her out. Ask her about her opinion on you dating boys. and then softly mention the fact you've been seeing this boy for a while and would like her to meet him.

Remember, unfortunate as it may seem, mum's are usually right about men. They seem to have this inner sense that tells them if a bloke is an idiot or not! good luck.

yes, it is a good time to tell her, you should always tells your mum the truth. she wont be upset that you have a boyfriend she will be upset that you didn't trust her enough to tell her. Hopefully she will remember what it was like for her when she was a young girls as well. All she wants to do is protect you form harm, so she might get a bit concerned about you having sex, but you are 16 and old enough to have a boyfriend. good luck.

look just calm yourself down and go straight up to your mother. Just explain you have just got yourself a first boyfriend im sure she would understand properly trust me. U are 16 and u should know what to do. Just sit down and have a private talk with your mother and see what she has to say if she is happy with it then u got it! Just try and tell her nicely about your first relationship with your new guy good luck xx

Tell her about him. Then have him come by the house to pick you up. If he's a decent boy he would do that anyway. That's the best way. She can size him up and send you on your way. .

just bite the bullet and do it! reassure her that you're bein responsible, and willingly listen to any advice she wants to give...as long as you're not doing anything daft, there shouldnt be a problem....and if there is, get her to come and ask for advice here!

Why don't you want to tell her? You are sixteen and are older enough to do what you want to. Just take it slow and be care full what you say as you don't want her to hit the roof.
