Avril Lavigne is currently being sued by the Rubinoos who say her "Girlfriend" ripped off their "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend".

I have to say, I think they have a case (Rubinoos). I mean the chorus sounds pretty similar. What do you guys think?

Does she even write her own music? Probably not so they should go sue her manager or something....she's just the puppet

The song is definitely a rip off of Rubinoos and I can understand why they would sue. Did she write the song though? If she didn't then the song writer should be getting sued not Avril.

there's a song with the help of The Ramones talked approximately as I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend. i'm undecided what 365 days it incredibly is from. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it does not incredibly sound too much like Avril Lavigne's version, and the lyrics are not all THAT comparable, so I doubt they are going to have any fulfillment in the event that they're attempting to sue her.

The words are very similar, so I'd say yeah, she stole it. The song sucks anyway. I liked her last album better.

i think she did rip it off.. considering she has no talent or creativity in the first place.. and i think that song sounds a lot like hers.. so she must have ripped it off..

i heard she and her freinds went into the studio and wrote the song together and she recorded it and stuff. Maybe she did steal the song...

Yeah, I think she stole the song. She's too stupid to write her own songs/come up with her own ideas.
