Well, in this case, no one was killed. Are you suggesting our government put people to death based on ill behaviors? I am not at all condoning their conduct, but I don't think that putting people to death for these types of crimes is not appropriate.
The argument can be made that these kids could be used as an example, but if someone is going to do something like this, they are probably so ill educated they wouldn't even know the first thing about the law.

Yes. The legal system should be cleaned up, the liberals should be removed, the ACLU members should be jailed right down to the office secretary and this should be a death penalty case.
Okay, on second thought, maybe not. Give the harshest life sentence imaginable, but the problem with that is that it's only a life sentence until some liberal comes along at some point and gets them out to kill again, and the liberal getting them out won't be held accountable.

When you are young you are very easily influenced by others. If they don't give those two the death penalty, they will have the punishment of living with the crime they committed for the rest of their lives. But not only that, they will also be given a chance to change, since they are just kids, they can be easily molded. If they are arrested (of course) and put into prison, then I think that will be enough.
Do you think the 14 year old would have done that act alone? What abotut he 16 year old? I don't think they would. I believe that they need to be given a chance, but NOT let off the hook. Punished severely! Being tried like adults is definitely good. So to answer your question, no.

Not special cases per se. Teens should not be exempt as a rule. If they commit a crime for which an adult would receive the death penalty, and the court would otherwise try then as an adult, they should receive the death penalty. Trying them as an adult would still be an exception, but the death penalty would not be.
Note: the article you linked can't possibly be relevant to my answer, so I didn't read it.

Umm well i dont really think death 4 teen is a very good choice b/c they should be given a second chance and have yat 2 experience life but in some cases such as murder and or manslaughter and they had already been given a 2nd chance, it would apply.
hope this helps,
Kristen

The death penalty is an outdated method of reaction to a hideously outdated method of action. I do not agree with the death penalty. It de-evolves society to the level of the criminal, and to be better than the criminals who represent the worst of our society, we need to behave in a socially responsible fashion. Add to this the youth and inexperience of the accused in the question, and it makes the answer even more applicable. We can not anwer violence with more violence. Period. Even if the societal implications are dire by allowing a heinous criminal to remain living and breathing on this earth.

Nope, there should be other things that should be considered but I don't think age should be one of them. The sited case isn't a death penalty case because the victims lived, but if they had been murdered then I would approve a death penalty for them.
Here's a possible death penalty for a 15 year old
