Depends on how fast and how much rain you are getting and with the heat it could hurt it all together. (I say this with the strange weather and if you are in TX...I would wonder that too).
I like the story that rhubarb is like an alligator. Tough. (please see link below). Also I have encluded a link for tips on growing rhubarb.
If they look good now are large enough, pick some, rinse it off well and freeze.
They make a super rhubarb tart!

Nope. Rhubarb grows great up here in the pacific northwest, and we get crummy ol' drizzle 10 months of the year.

Nope! They thrive here in the Seattle area. If rain were bad for them they'd all be dead.
