I know there's places where you can swim with and interact with dolphins. Is there anywhere like that but for playing with pandas? I love pandas and always see videos online of people in China playing with them; or is that only open to researchers?

I guess China if you visit that country. My relative who stays there says there are zoos which offer such services, although your safety might be at risk.

Yeah, not a good idea. Pandas have a cute reputation but are notoriously grumpy and even vicious animals. These are wild creatures quite capable of mauling anything they decide they don't like. They can and have attacked their handlers, strangers in their cages, and zoo visitors who got too close to their cage. There's no way to tell what might set a wild animal off.

A drunken Chinese guy crawled in a panda cage to hug a panda, and he was mauled. You might want to become a Wildlife Biologist so you can have relatively safe panda encounters.

Not that I'm aware of... Pandas outside of zoos are in China but I've never heard of an excursion of sorts where you could play with them.

the only way i can think of how you can get close to a panda is...check if zoos have "behind the scenes" programs--but even then, i don't think they'll actually let you play with a panda.

Remember that pandas are 'solitary` creatures.
Territorial, and not wired for social interaction.
You don't want to attempt to interact.

Don't. Pandas don't want to interact with you either.
