The aquarium should have tubes or clay pipes with a fairly large diameter. The male will clean the site and will fan water over the eggs and fry. At a temperature of about 70f the eggs will hatch in about nine days. They are not the easiest to raise and a bare bottom tank is best. :-)

it is also recomended that they are in a large tank (your tank is too small i think) and if they are disturbed constantly (in a room where people are alot of the time ) then they will not breed!

purchase 6 and enable them to strengthen up in a tank with caves, finally you wll be suffering to get rid of each and every of the pleco's. stay flowers are sturdy and that i combination their nutrients plan between veggie flake and usual flake. I throw in some zucchini each and every so often too and algae wafers. I truly have a breeding set up for pleco's and that i take approximately 2 hundred-3 hundred to the LFS each and every couple of months for save credit. this is an wonderful activity once you sell your youthful fish and that they conceal the value of the activity :) one element i've got observed approximately pleco's, they are the 1st ones on the scene whilst there's a lifeless fish on your tank. they say they like vegetables, yet they particular pick to eat meat too...

Plecos are a seriously difficult fish to breed and raise and I'll be honest with you that a 30 gallon isn't large enough to even make the attempt.

here is some good info on breeding zebra plecos.

I would talk with the local pet store you are planning to sell to. See what kind they specifically are interested in, and if they will help you with supplies, since you will be providing them with the young.
