I sliced my thumb with a knife yesterday and had a rather large tantrum at my stupidity, no one was looking. Can you hold back when you do something like that or do you let it fly?

If things are really bothering me, that is life in general, yes, I get very angry sometimes, but lucky for me, I can observe my anger, and change it, to become a positive rather than a negative. Sawman, I blew out my knee from a simple stretch, on a Sunday night , I had just started a new job, I was happy, but then bam, there goes my knee, and needless to say I lost my job, and I was so angry at myself for doing something so stupid, but I have learned through the years that there is a reason why these crazy things happen, and they slow us down so we can focus better on what we are doing. You were probably thinking about something other than what you were doing, you lost focus, and cut yourself. Simply, things happen, and our test is how we deal with these things. Anger is one of our worst emotions, as we become conditioned to this , and it cuts off the flow for being positive. I really hope your thumb is OK, and have you had a tetanus shot? Be careful with infection, and Your thumb will heal just like my knee, and hopefully from our stupid mistakes we have learned something from them. I can put up a lot of noise! I don't take kindly to doing something stupid like that to myself.

i let it fly. i never used to swear when i was younger. i don't know what happened but i started swearing in my late 30's. i started talking to myself in my late 40's. i'm afraid to see what comes next.

I am getting pretty mouthy in my old age about everything. And if I cut myself, heck yea. You will hear about for days and it wasn't MY fault. sound familiar?
