It is one of these cars where Front-Left engine mount is in the way of taking the belt out and installing a new one. I would leave this to mechanic. If done properly, it would take 1 hour of labor.

If you must do it yourself. then you have to take front left tire out. Then take the engine guard out, place a wood block below the engine oil pan and support the weight of the engine. Then carefully take the lower engine mount out. Then Undo tension of the belt, take out the belt, and install a new one and retension the belt. If you are not turned off by jacking the engine up from below, the job is pretty easy.

You don't need special tools, unless a set of metric sockets and wrenches & a pry bar are "specialty tools". You must find the adjuster bolt, usually on the underside of the alt, and loosen it enough to slide the a/c belt under the primary belt onto the crank pulley. Then loosen the adjuster on the a/c compressor, slide belt on & re-tighten. Then re-tighten the primary belt. Your done. This is easier if you jack up the car and remove the drivers side tire/wheel 1st. Be sure and chock & block to avoid an accident. Good luck.

its fairly simple just look how the belt is on right now before losing anything. jott it down next look for a socket thatll fit the belt tensioner thats something thats look like a small bowl with an arrow going through.give it a couple of turns a feel the belt if it loose or not just remember lefty loosy righty tighty.
once its loose u can just get off the pulleys and put new one on and retighted it.word

Release the tension on the belt tensioner and replace the belt. Then use a 1/2" drive breaker bar or a ratchet and pull the tensioner back and slide the belt onto the pulley and then release the pressure on the ratchet and you are done. good luck.

the owners manual would tell you nothing on that anyhow. get a hanes repair manual. usually you just gotta just take pressure off the idler pulley and put the new one on according to the layout that should be either on the hood or on the radiator support.
