oh puh-LEASE
I had a college geography course with a russian guy, and he ate, drank, slept and LIVED alcohol! There are alcoholics of every nationality, trust me. The russian guy in my class said that alchohol is a big part of their life over there and they drink it with their meals, and they start drinking at an early age and he kept talking about vodka all the time (he pronounced it wodka)...my teacher used to talk to him about it all the time!

What makes you think that this is an issue for Americans vs. any other country? Do you live in the U.S.? As far as who drinks more, it's not Americans, I don't have the details but there has been studies and the U.S. didn't win. These should be easy for someone with an IQ of say, 40, to find for you on-line. And what's up with you're interest in Martians? Seen any Chupacabras lately?

That's pretty generic to classify all Americans into ONE alcoholic category!!!!!
I know many people who do NOT drink at all!!!!
I drink~ very rarely and socially. That is MY CHOICE!!!!
Where do you live that you see people drinking non stop?????
I really don't know where you are from---but that's a crappy way to stereotype USA!!!!!!
Good luck in your answer or finding NORMAL people---
Obviously are you NOT looking in all the right places!
I have a question for you~ When IS the last time you were "out with the "Matians""?????? DAH~~~~~
DUDE~ quit reading so much Sci-Fi!!!!!
Get a JOB. Go to Church. Go to Library----
You will see many people WHO do NOT drink!!!!
It is a choice---BUT don't label ME!!!!
ps How were the "Martians"---drinking-wise I mean?????

don't judge America by what you see on "the Real World", and the rest of MTV.
America has been settled by people of all nations and origins, and some of them have a(stereotypical) history of favoring a 'beverage', The Irish like Whiskey, the French love Wine, The Germans favor beer, etc... when they came here their preferences followed, and they were also exposed to the other cultures and their drink of choice, now should two people of different cultures unite, the child would be exposed to both cultures so while Mom and Dad just enjoyed their legacy, now Junior is viewed as a sot for drinking both, also Thanks to the "Old West", you have people exposed to each other and their options, so you start to share and you don't need a family legacy to justify the expansion of options.
This does not justify alcoholism, or the effects there of, but just because we are a melting pot with all of the options of all of the nations of origin it does not mean we drink more than any of those nations, we just have the option and the variety to do so should we choose

1) Learn how to construct a simple sentence.
2) Learn the uses of punctuation.
3) Do some research that shows Mars does not support life.
4) DO further research that will show not all Americans drink.

Americans drink I think less than most European countries (there's a report you can find online, I think Italy is #1 for both smoking AND drinking). I think our teens do it more frequently because its outlawed here and creates an inate desire to try something 'illegal' for the minors, whereas other countries don't shun drinking and the kids just get to experiment with it as they would anything else

Ha! I don't......Alcohol is fattening and most Americans like myself are health conscious and don't drink. And if they do its usually on the weekend. I found your comment rude and arrogant. What makes you such an expert on Americans drinking? Oh let me guess.... TV?
And this coming from someone who knows Martians? I rest my case.

Rafael you are obviously not from the USA. We are not drinkers that are worst than other countries. Never seen my folks or relatives drink alcohol. When over seas I never went anywhere they didn't drink. In france wine is dinner.
Every country drinks especially Germany. by the way that is the best beer in the world.
No that cevasa in Mexico is outstanding.

I think it is not just Americans but youth in general that have embarked on a culture of binge drinking when ever they can. They will either grow out of it and lots do or carry on that way probably because they have no morals or values.

What the hell?
Americans are the only ones to drink. Gee I wonder where "German Beer" comes from or Jagermeister. Kahlua sounds awfully American to me as well. Gran Galla, Margarita...shall I continue?
I'm sorry I'm way to drunk to give you an actual response.
