There are six "official" continents: North America, South America, Australia, Africa, Antarctica, and Eurasia (Europe + Asia). Sometimes Europe and Asia are counted separately, although there is no obvious physical division between them. Sometimes India is also referred to as a "sub-continent" on its own as well.
