i really don't enjoy Vivaldi that much, so here are my favorites:
~Haydn quartet op. 77 no.1
~the Mendellsohn E minor violin concerto is nice
~I really like any chopin nocturnes, though I am rather partial to:
-#2 in Eb major ( though that one is getting a bit tiresome it's probably the most well known nocturne)
-#15 in F minor
-#19 in E minor
-#20 in C# minor
~Dvorak rhapsody op.45 no.2 in G minor is probably one of my favorites from the period (maybe it's cause the 1st violin part was so much fun to play, and i have wonderful memories of orchestra that year)
~Mahler symphony no.5 in C# minor is beautiful
~Phaeton, op.39 by saint-saens

I agree with the others who said Pachelbel's Canon. What a beautiful song. My 13 y/o granddaughter is in the school orchestra (she's a violinist) & when they played this song, it brought tears to my eyes. It's so beautiful & so is my granddaughter & her violin accomplishments.

Rachmaninoff's piano concertos. They're not songs, but certainly amazing works.
