IF IT HAD TO BE ONE GROUP, WHICH WOULD IT BE?

Back in 1979, the Communist Worker's Party of America was having an anti-racism rally. The American Nazi Party and KKK joined forces and massacred 5 unarmed communists and injured several more. This was called the Greensboro Massacre. None of the perpetrators were punished.

The five killed were:
- Sandy Smith, a nurse and civil rights activist;
- Dr. James Waller, president of a local textile workers union who gave up his medical practice to defend workers;
- Bill Sampson, a Harvard University graduate in the school of divinity;
- Cesar Cause, an immigrant from Cuba who graduated magna *** laude from Duke University;
and
- Dr. Michael Nathan, chief of pediatrics at Lincoln Community Health Center in Durham, NC, a clinic that helped children from low-income families.

The communists in America were largely harmless. The neo-nazis and klan members of America, on the other hand, have killed hundreds if not thousands of people over the years.

Silent

Actually, they were unarmed. In order to get a permit for their protest, they had to give up their guns.

GOPneeds,

Communists are against racism. They believe in equal rights. You don't believe in that?

If you look into it, you will find communist groups supported civil rights during the 1960s.

Alot of COPOUT answers.

I asked if you HAD TO CHOOSE.

I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU PEOPLE.

These communists were practicing their American right to protest. For that, they were killed! This could have been your son or daugther!

How can you not sympathize with them over the neo-nazis and klan members who killed them?

Even if you disagree with their ideology, they were working against poverty and racism. They were trying to do some good and they got killed because of it.

I don't sympathize with either one, but at least the American Communist party is just a bunch of irrelevant and out-of-touch mush-minded flakes who are probably less likely to condone or support violence.

In this case the communists. You can totally disagree with the political philosophy and that's fine. But it's pretty clear no group of communists in the US have ever done any violent or hate-filled actions against anyone here. At most, they're just a tiny political group with some radical ideas but absolutely no power to speak off. (And they're certainly not racist.) The neo-nazis and klansmen, however, have demonstrated they are bigoted and violent. End of debate, as far as I'm concerned.

This question is polarizing and divisive, just like the conservatives insisting that if you're not with them, you must be a liberal.

The beauty of the United States is that the American people usually take a middle of the road stance because most of them claim the middle class as their political status.

Although the middle class is under attack all over the world by globalism, it's still there and will fight at the appropriate time. It will never go with communism or fascism because both these systems are what destroys them. Let the fight between the extremes continue. The middle of the road, centrist, middle class will win every time.

While I deeply regret the mindless actions that ended the lives of Americans, I cannot sympathize with either extreme. You'll find tyranny in dictatorships lead by both kinds of people.

I side with the voiceless of the middle class who seems to be lost in the screaming from the extremists who embrace their affiliations rather than the reality of life in America.

Given a variety of the two Communism or Neo-Nazi-ism... i could pick Communism. i do no longer relish being instructed -- dictated to, truly -- what i could have faith, how I could desire to have faith it and whilst to have faith it; which persons i will go jointly with; which books i will examine; what i will hearken to to. that's what the Neo-Nazi's opt to do -- dictate the lives of all others. they opt to make the U.S. "secure" from blacks, gays, etc., because of the fact they say that this is those human beings inflicting each and every of the topic concerns -- yet this is the Neo-Nazi's who're doing the persecuting and the killing. they pick to be unfastened to dictate what others have faith/think of/see/hear/do/etc. I opt to be unfastened to make my own judgements approximately what i've got faith/think of/see/hear/etc. they opt to have that which the "decrease classes" produce for them -- yet they do no longer opt to pay for it or enable people who produce to even have it. They whinge approximately those they do unlike -- yet they a great deal relish the flaws those they do unlike have contributed. They declare to stay their lives in accordance to what Christ taught -- yet they willfully circulate against Christ's teachings by ability of calling for the deaths of those they do unlike. they are Hypocrites.

If I HAD to choose - I would choose American Communists. While I disagree with them politically, at least they do not commit abhorrent acts of violence and hatred like the neo-Nazis or the KKK.
