All the time. Usually very negative ones due to all the facial piercings i suppose. I have them because i like them, that reason and only that reason. But most people just assume i'm either emo or goth...i'm niehter. I'm me and that's all there is to it. How bout you?

For much of my adult life, I looked at least fifteen years younger than my true age. I was also very petite, and looked a bit like a sexy little girl (no matter how I dressed). I found it difficult to be hired for jobs or to have people follow my suggestions, or take me seriously in a business setting. Their attitude toward me was almost invariably, "Aw, isn't that cute? Look at the little girl trying to be all grown up."

As I got old enough to obviously not be a sexy little girl, people typically assumed I was a secretary or elementary school teacher. Since I had worked very hard to become an expert in computer network design and maintenance, I was offended by their assumptions.

Yes, lots of people assume that I am a "dumb blonde", especially at school.

When I had a new English teacher this year, she started making assumptions right away because of my looks and the fact that I hung out a lot with guys. Well, I wrote an assignment that clearly deserved a grade in the high nineties, and she gave me 75%. I was so furious that I went to her and demanded her to read over it again. When she said that mark was fair, I showed my other teachers for their honest opinion. One of them contacted my English teacher and they had a little talk. She apologized, and my grade was changed to the 95% it deserved.

Yeah, I am sure they do... and as to what assumptions they make, well that would vary. You see different people view things, uh, differently. For the most part people think I am "together." Like I have everything under control. I never leave the house without my face and hair done. My nails are always manicured... but that is just a facade: inside I am crumbling...

Yesterday someone thought I had a boob job. I over heard her commenting to another person. Both don't know me personally. But have seen me many times. I heard the other one say it must be a wonder bra. I did have a push up bra on. If they liked the way it looked all they have to do is buy themselves one. And vola. Nice breasts. For the price of a bra. I must of looked good if I had them talking.

im 25 years old and have a 9 yr old daughter....im covered in tattoos and piercings...people think that im some piece of **** that does drugs and drinks and is a huge slut...when in actuality i was with her dad for 4 years, have not drank or done drugs in 6-7 years and make more money than most the people that judge me...my daughter comes first and gets everything she wants (as long as she earns it) and needs in life.

I'm short and fat so people assume I like to eat, only eat junk, hate to exercise, and have to be stupid. I actually don't like eating much, prefer healthy food, hate most junk food, love exercising, and have a high IQ with multiple degrees.

Looks can be deceiving.

Yes. You know they do. They base them on my ummm, "guns" I guess. I hate that. I want people to judge me from the inside.

In 8th grade, all these dudes said I was goth 'cause I wore a Green Day shirt. I almost died laughing.

Yes and I think the impression is a good one. Maybe a friendly grandmother type.
