I just bought two pairs of shoes on sale! they were $249 marked down 80% so they ended up being like $50 a pair (They were Marc Jacob shoes).
I like nice quality shoes, so I wait for them to go on sale, because while I'm sure that the people who own Nordstroms are lovely, I'm not giving them $250 for a pair of sandals!
My limit is $75 for shoes, and $125 for boots.
You don't have to spend a fortune for quality stuff, just be a smart shopper!

I'm on my feet a lot because of my job, so it's worth it for me to pay around $100 for a decent pair of shoes.
