Well, I'm sure as it disintegrates over time, it'll start mucking up the tank and filters. Do you know if any of it is still in the tube, or is it down in the tank proper? Or don't know? How big a stick? tiny one, or big one, diameter-wise? It would be a good idea to get it out, of course, but I think the fuel filter(s) will catch most of it, and prevent any damage. There are these metal cable type "grabbers" you can buy at hardware or Lowes/ Home Depot, about 3' long, that have a spring compression, and 4 little fingers at the end, you can get extended reach. The problem is, it's METAL, and shoving a metal cable with moveable fingers in a metal tube, at an angle, and moving it around, I don't think it would spark if you do it slowly enough, but it would still be a risk, with that gasoline. That's the only way I can think of to remove it, short of removing the gas tank, or the hose to it underneath the car. But, I think if the stick isn't too big, you should be ok.

Probably not. I would not go throuh the expense of having it removed unless it did become a problem. Get a locking gas cap for the car and a switch for the kid.

I doubt it. It will either float or sink in the gas tank. It most likely will not cause a problem.
It may cause some harm to your kid's rear end, though. lol.

Depends on the stick & IF it has ANY sap in it ! or like a melaluka tree that has a paper bark..IF the stick hits YOUR fuel Guage it will probably stick the sending unit & if U have a intank fuel pump - IT might damage the connections !!

the one thing it will mess up probably later on ,and that's the gas gage on it,in time it may come apart, but the screen in the tank should stop any part if it from entering the fuel system, you,ll sort of have to wait and see on this one, time will tell, good luck with it.

It could interfere with the function of that float thingy your gas-gauge depends on. I don't know if thats universal. Ask your
mechanic. Good luck.

Hopefully your fuel filter will catch everything. You may have to get a new fuel filter, a few times I think.
