Hi,
my lawn was green but really thin and lot of places where grass wasnt growing. I was about to dig out the old grass and apply Sod but decided to go with grass seeds.
I live in Toronto, avg tempt is 32°C, i spreaded grass seeds last night. I was looking on google how spring and falls is the best time to spread seeds.
what are the chances that grass will grow now? since its really hot outside, i will be wattering the lawn 3 times a day.

thanks

Actually you'll be more pleased with better results if you seed in mid to late September. The direct mid day heat will not dry out the soil as quickly. To keep even moisture in the soil spread clean wheat straw on top of your newly seeded areas. You may think it looks offensive but by next spring time you'll barely see it. After mowing these spots the straw will be finely chopped up.
