At night with a flashlight locate the hole where the wasps enter beneith your stump. With a can of WASP spray empy the contents in the hole. Shovel some dirt on the hole.

At night 99.9 percent of the wasps have returned to their nest therefore you will not get yourself stung. This product also works fine if you are ever faced with free hanging wasp or bees nests.

If you don't know where the nest is, you could try sprinkling insecticide on the grass and wait a day for the effects. If you still have a bunch of wasps, you can by a spray-on poison and blast the area the wasp nest appears to be.

If these methods don't work, or if you're too afraid of getting hand-on with the wasps, call a professional.

LMAO! I just had a mental image a a guy getting chased by 40 wasps! HAHAHAHA! Okay...got that out of me. I would spray the nest with insecticide or call an exterminator if you don't want to be chased again.

probably best left to experts, but you can buy some wasp killing spray and spray it at them and then run like hell.

IN THE MORNING, WHILE THE BEES ARE OUT HARVESTING, SPRAY ON WASP KILLER, THAT YOU CAN BUY FROM ANY HOME IMPROVEMENT STORE, ON THEIR HIVE. WHEN THEY RETURN, THE POISON WILL START WORKING AND THE HIVE WILL BE DEAD IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS.

Burn it at night with a propane torch held to the entry hole, the wasps will be cooked inside or die as they fly out, when their wings burn off...wear gloves!
