Well everyone is different and has different tastes. I prefer anything by Anne Rice. I became intrigued by her after watching Interview with the Vampire (besides the fact that Brad Pitt is hott) I love all of her vampire chronicles, once I start one, I cant put it down. My personal 2 favorites are "Pandora" and " Blood and Gold". I have read Pandora about 10 times.
But I have been looking for another good author to read and picked up a book a few months ago that looking interesting and it was.
the book was called "New Moon" by Stephenie Meyer. Its spelled a lil wierd. But it was a very addicting book and I am going to have to buy more of hers too. Hope this helps.

I can recommend a few:
The China Bayles Series by Susan Witting Albert
The Stephanie Plum Series by Janet Evanovich
The first one is considered a cozy mystery, but they both keep your interest.

"gods in Alabama" by Joshilyn Jackson is the most recent book I've read. It was pretty amazing...I finished it in 2 days. The main character is unique and witty and somewhat cynical. The site I gave you gives a nice synopsis. I would suggest it to anyone.

in my opinion i'd advise some Jane Austen. it incredibly is classic, yet speaks approximately subjects common to fashionable youthful females - society, style, marriage. "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" is likewise a literary classic, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it incredibly is totally attainable and straightforward to study. Robin McKinley has diverse smart and exciting fairy-tale type memories. dodge "Deerskin" (too stressful and not her maximum suitable artwork) and concentration on "splendor"; "The Hero and the Crown"; "Spindle's end", and her short memories. Marion Zimmer Bradley's "The Mists of Avalon" is a large e book, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it incredibly is too a lot at this age - jot it down and attempt examining once you graduate college, you will savor it a lot extra then.

How about telling us your age or likes so we have something to base our decision on. I read about three novels a week, but your parameters make it hard to help.
