The KKK is an ultra-conservative group. It's not a political party itself, but it shares the ideology of conservative parties. If you combine all the nuttiest foaming-at-the-mouth ideas of conservative politics, you'll get the KKK's ideals.

A lot of more moderate conservatives try to distance themselves from the KKK's hateful ranting, but some will still pander to it.

All I know is that Democrats have a former high ranking member of the klan as a senior Senator from WV.
