No. Oscars are too aggressive and discus are more sensitive when it comes to the water quality than oscars are.

Oscar and arowanas are both quite aggressive and active fish. Discus are quite shy and prefer still water without a lot of action going on in the tank. They may be able to hold their own against bullies if need be, but would be stressed and hiding most of the time. Discus also need warm water and can't handle as much ammonia as the oscars can. The discus could live in there for awhile, but wouldn't thrive and probably keel over from stress related illness. And what Ian said... starvation would probably be first.

While they are both cichlids and like warmer and softer water, and they're both aggressive to other fish, the oscars are WAY more aggressive then the discus. I had them both for a number of years but definitely in separate tanks.

The discus are also more difficult to take care of then oscars.

Dear sexy,

Discus are very timid fish that like warm (87 degree) water and slightly acidic water (PH 6.8 or less).

Tiger Oscars, on the other hand, are very aggressive fish that don't need the warmer or acidic water.

On a compatability scale of one to ten (with ten being most compatible) they would be about 2. The only thing that could make them less compatible would be if one could eat the other.
