You get the +1/+1 from the ability plus any ablities from the equipment.

For example, I have an Auriok Glaivemaster and I equip it with a Leonin Scimitar.

The Glaivemaster would be a 1/1 creature but have the additional ability of having +1/+1 from it's ability, first strike from it's ability, and +1/+1 from the Scimitar.

This effectivly makes the creature a 3/3 with first strike, but it can be made to be a 1/1 again by unequiping it.

Yes, you would get the +1/+1 and whatever the equipment gives you. Also, the creature never "becomes" a 2/2, it just gets +1/+1

let's say you have a creature that has a 1/1,
If you have an equipment that gives the creature +1/+1 then the creature would be a 2/2.

Yes, it does.
An example:
Myr Adapter gets +1/+1 for each Equipment attached to it. So if you equip 2 cards to it it would be a 1/1 creature with +2/+2.

The equipment Neurok Hoversail gives the equipped creature flying.
If you would equip 1 of those to Myr Adapter, it will be a 1/1 creature with +1/+1 from it's ability, so a 2/2 artifact creature with flying.

Another example:
The equipment Golem-Skin Gauntlets will give Equipped creature +1/+1 for each Equipment attached to it.
A Myr Adapter with Golem-Skin Gauntlets equipped will be a 1/1 creature with +1/+1 from it's ability, and +1/+0 from Golem-Skin Gauntlets, so it's a 3/2 artifact creature.

If you would attach another equipment like Neurok Hoversail, it would have 2 equipments.
So Myr Adapter's ability gives itself +2/+2 and Golem-Skin Gauntlets gives it +2/+0.
It will be a 5/3 artifact creature with flying.
