I was just wondering what kind of items should go in first and last? here is a short inventory of all the big stuff we have

refrigerator
washer and dryer
dining room table w/ 4 chairs
china cabinet with glass cabinet doors
small breakfast table
BIG 3 pc sectional leather sofa
medium sized recliner
2 end tables, coffee table
1 queen size mattress with a box spring
1 fairly large dresser
1 medium size chest of drawers
small computer desk
small tv stand
2 lightweight 6' tall bookshelves

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. This is our first time loading a moving truck on our own and we just want to ensure that all of our things will arrive safely. We will be driving for about 4-5 hours.

refrigerator (1)

dining room table w/ 4 chairs (6)
china cabinet with glass cabinet doors (5)
small breakfast table (7)
BIG 3 pc sectional leather sofa (8)
medium sized recliner (9)
2 end tables, coffee table (on top of furniture)
1 queen size mattress with a box spring (on top of furniture or along side wall)
1 fairly large dresser (3)
1 medium size chest of drawers (4)
small computer desk (10)
small tv stand (on top of furniture)
2 lightweight 6' tall bookshelves (Set these against all items on top of other furniture, to prevent falling)

Get thee back to U-Haul and purchase a roll of "seran wrap", about 2 feet wide. Wrap as much as you can to prevent scratching, plus blankets, pillows etc.

Stack to ceiling where you can and tie down securely.
Cushion between all furniture. You can rent blankets from U-Haul, also mattress bag.

Don't allow things to slide around or fall in transit.

Good luck.

put all the big heavy boxy items in the back and on the bottem. try to fill every thing as even ly add fully as possible while distributing the weight evenly. for tables and such try to either put them on thier tops or else fill the gaps under them with smaller boxes. load the truck in sections by levels ie put the appliances in the back of the truck then stack smaller boxes on top of them then move forward. continue this through the truck
