14 and 4'11?

Question

im about 4'11 and i havent grown since the begging of 7th grade. Is it normal?im half Filipino on my moms side and shes about 5'0.my dad is 5'10 hes caucacion but the rest of his side is pretty short and im tierd of the short cracks. i hate asking for help when i cant reach things either.

You'll probably grow a little more, but if you don't or don't end up being that tall, don't worry about it.

While l'm a fair amount older than you, l am 4'11" also, hated it when l was your age, hated all the nicknames that went with it. Then one day l realized people liked me the way l was and being short wasn't the end of the world. When you have a boy friend you can cuddle better too. My ex is 6'1". The only thing that l find annoying now is reaching the top shelf but l have a great little stool. ln a store l just ask someone to help me.

I wouldn't give up on growing until you hit 16. Until then, keep praying.

There is a grabber device that we get at the hardware and auto parts store. My m-i-l is 5'0 or so. It's about 3 feet long and it's got a pincher on one end and a trigger on the other. You pull the trigger, the pincher opens. You point it where you need it, and it picks up whatever you want that's way over your head.

Being short is a trial, but lots of people have handicaps that make shortness look like heaven to their hell. Be thankful that you're healthy and enjoy the life you were given.

yes you will grow i grew the most in the summer of 9-10 grade. im now 18 and 4'11'' also. so you arent alone with the short jokes. i'm happy i am b/c i never have to worry about hitting my head! but if i want to look taller i just put on some cute high heals (even then i'm shorter then my hubby) but it works.

I don't have any advice for you about the short thing, It's just that some people are petite.

But, there are pills you can take so you can swim, my friend Emily is allergic to chlorine, and she takes an allergy pill and she's fine.

Based on what you have said, you probably will not grow much taller. But hey! Short girls are cute! I'm 18 and i'm 5'1", and I used to hate being short too. But I've actually grown to love it and embrace it. And as a plus, the tall handsome guys always seem to like the cute short girls ^-~

I wouldn't say that you are completely done growing. I grew another inch after I was in college! I am now 5'3"! My mom also grew after she was in college, as well as my brother (he grew 4 inches in college). As far as your genes go, there is always a very good chance that you will not grow to be overly tall, but as the others have said- embrace it!
At least you will always be able to wear really cute heels that are as high as you want to!
When people make a comment to me about being short I always just tell them that it is because I am really afraid of heights! They usually laugh and move on.

You could still grow some but you might not. Your taller then most Little People. Some people are short some are tall just the way it is.

You will certainly grow taller if you take care of yourself. Make sure you eat nutritious food rich in vitamins and drink milk. Calcium is important for growth and development of bones. Also make sure you are exercising. Best is jumping jacks and skipping and swimming. Drink plenty of water as well. Take vitamin supplements. Tak to your doctor about your concerns.

well, the Filipino thing is the deal. you see, im Italian (full blooded) and b/c of this i am shorter than all of my friends and i get the occasional short joke too. you just gotta get good at insulting people and using comebacks like i am. then you won't have a problem.
