The motor is hot to touch, the blade moves smoothly. We changed the circuit breaker,checked freon level and cleaned the coil. The air blows cold through vents.

Someone probably refilled the freon, but not the oil in the compressor.

replace the motor, or you'll burn up the compressor. a new motor costs $40-60 at an electric motor supply house. a new a/c compressor may run as high as $1100. and requires a license to get the freon and put it in, if you have the proper equipment to do so. otherwise it will cost you more for the tech to do it.

the fan motor is more then likely bad. change it and see what happens
